I was wondering if the quoted passages from Stephen Scanniello at the bottom of the description tab were mistakenly placed there. I don’t know if ‘Chris Evert’ has a specific link with the standard form, but it seems like a non sequitur to me.

Also seems like a rose I wouldn't want on a standard. Actually kinda surprised landscape nurseries don't have the Oso Easy roses on standards, or even the Pretty Polly types.

Yes, it seems to have been an error. Note deleted, thank you for the heads up!

I bought three of these roses and planted them together in a special planting in my front yard. I have been very pleased with the vigor of the bush and the flower production. The flowers are a gorgeous bright orange with a touch of red on the outer edges of the petals. The fragrance is much stronger than I thought it would be. It is a showstopper in my garden and gets rave reviews from all those who see them. They are the first to bloom in my garden and are very healthy and so far very winter hardy with no protection from me. I would recommend this as a super garden rose for anyone wanting a splash of color in their garden.

I live in Olympia Washington and bought this rose bush in early March from a garden center. It has had problems with blackspot, but that is common in this area. It has produced four flowers so far and they have varied from orange turning red at the edges with age, to orange with a creamy center. Very pretty!

Imagine my surprise to find someone else from Olympia on this site, looking at this rose! What are the odds... I absolutely love the color of this rose, but have had to buy a new bush for 4 years in a row now due to cold damage! You seem to be having better luck, what's your secret? Since you're also a local rose grower, may I ask what you think are the best reds and yellows to grow? Even my 2 year-old Ingrid Bergman & Mr. Lincoln died! I live out on what they call Chambers Prairie by the East Oly Post Office. I know we get a tad colder than most of Olympia, but can't believe I'm going to always have this problem after each winter! I look forward to your reply. Thanks!

Better size in cool weather. Consistent color (courtesy Weeks Roses).
