ARS: Mauve or mauve blend.Registration name: Alexandre Laquement
 
Origin: Bred by Unknown  (before 1873).  Introduced in Belgium by Louis van Houtte  in 1873 as 'Alexandre Laquement'.  Introduced in Australia by Giles and Son  in 1881 as 'Alexandre Laquement'.  
Bloom: Pink, purple shading.  Strong fragrance.  Average diameter 2".  Medium, double (17-25 petals), in small clusters, cupped bloom form.  Once-blooming spring or summer.   
Habit: Height: 3' to 4'11" (90 to 150cm).  Width: 3' to 42" (90 to 105cm).
 
Growing: USDA zone 4b through 8b.  Disease susceptibility: susceptible to Mildew.
