'Countryman' rose Reviews & Comments

Planted in spring of 2014 from Heirloom as a band it has grown and bloomed quite vigorously. It would have come through last year's mild winter green all the way to the tips had it not been for the rodents gnawing the canes in secret under the pine needle mulch. That hurt my heart to discover. The plant gets between 3-4' tall. Medium-sized, moderately-full blooms with an occasional diva bloom that's big and lasts forever (more of the diva blooms in the fall). NO SCENT for me. The Spirit of Blackspot lives in my garden so no rose is safe. I will say it is in a crowded spot which doesn't help. Blooms nearly continuously however. (zone 5a)
