Lower Cévennes maybe zone 7b 8 on the edge of Mediterranean climate. One of our favourite roses this is for Margaret & Billy and anyone else who is a fan of these heritage teas.

Taken February 2023 in Fort Myers FL zone 10b. Along with Etoile de Lyon and Mrs BR Cant, this is one of the best tea roses ever made in my opinion, and certainly one of the best for tropical humid climates. Absolutely stunning in any context. This was a rose garden I designed for the Edison Ford Winter Estates in Fort Myers, where I paired Duchesse de Brabant with burgundy snapdragons and silvery white dusty miller. The effect was stunning and people were constantly photographing this garden at the height of bloom.

The Rose makes a very fine bud like the old french lithographs. It's very delicate in person and not really a sturdy rose when young but its blossoms look really good as long as they don't get totally soaked by rain and humidity. This rose wants to set hips.

nice fancy chalice cup blossom, the young rose plant is a bit floppy and droopy but it gives so many flowers! It improves in time.
