With this variety we offer you just about the most unusually colored rose to date. It will make a real conversation piece in your garden. Bred by Chris Warner of England from a most unusual combination of parents: 'Belinda' (hybrid musk) x 'Elizabeth of Glamis' (floribunda) x 'Galway Bay' (large-flowered climber) x 'Sutter's Gold' (hybrid tea). The almost unbelievable colors of its blooms are rich brown with a yellow and lighter reverse aging to slate gray. The medium size blooms are semi-double and borne in sprays of 5 to 10 with light fragrance. All this on a vigorous upright shrub with shiny mid-green foliage. Repeat blooming. 4-5 ft. (1988)
