David Ruston: 'Tintinara' (Dickson) 1999. This is a small town in South Australia. Pat Dickson said he saw the name while looking for a post code, and liked the name, so used it. A stunning colour.

Robert Stopford writes about the new roses that are doing well in his Lincolnshire Garden.
Tintinara (Dickson) is my personal favourite - big petals of bright vermilion lightening to silver at the base with lighter reverse.  Flowering starts later than most but once it gets going, it doesn't stop.  Strong scent of green apples.  Tall columnar plant for bedding or hedges.

Hybrid Tea. A refreshing new colour - novel and eye catching, bright poppy red. The flowers are large, moderately full and produced in abundance on a plant which is vigorous and strong. Really useful for brightening a dull border. Gold Medal winner.
