Introduced in France by Grandes Roseraies du Val de la Loire in 1920 as 'Orléans-Rouge'.
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1922 as 'Maréchal Foch'.
Class:
Polyantha.  
Bloom:
Cherry-red, ages to pink .  Moderate fragrance.  Medium, semi-double (9-16 petals), cluster-flowered, open bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Bushy, dense.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).

Marshal Ferdinand Foch, 1851-1929; French general in World War I. Ferdinand Foch was born on 2 October 1851 in Tarbe, France. He was commander in chief of the Allied armies in France. He died on 20 March 1929 in Paris and was buried under the domb of the Invalides along with Turenne and Napoleon I.
