in 1995, another Tantau variety 'Broadlands' (Tanmirson) was awarded the Gold Medal, a wonderfully rounded Ground Cover rose with lovely glossy foliage and uniquely soft creamy-peach blooms.

‘Sonnenschirn’/TANmirsch/’Broadlands’ = Arbuste… petit arbuste vigoureux et dense… larges bouquets… fleurs jaune paille en coupe, bien pleines, au parfum très frais. En fleur durant des mois, voire toute l’année en climat privélégié, il fait un excellent couvre-sol et se prête à tous les usages des rosiers dits paysagers. Ascendance inconnue. The outstanding rose over the three years of trial was undoubtedly Broadlands (T.G.1521) a pale yellow Ground Cover Shrub with beautiful light green shiny foliage and a good scent. It was awarded the President's International Trophy and a Gold Medal. The rose was raised by Tantau in Germany.
