‘Ann Aberconway’ = Floribunda – tons abricot, remontant… fleurs grandes pour une floribunda, et leur abondance de pétales leur permet d’éclore avec un cœur conique, après quoi elles s’évasent en coupe, les pétales réfléchis vers l’extérieur. Jaune abricot à l’éclosion, elles achèvent leur épanouissement largement suffusées de rose… feuillage épais et sombre… aussi précieux en massif que pour la fleur coupée. Le bouton doit être cueilli à peine entrouvert, encore jaune, sans quoi la fleur s’ouvre très vite et pâlit aussitôt. Ann Aberconway est l’épouse de Lord Aberconway, ex-président de la RHS. Ann Aberconway Floribunda. Mattock 1976. A beautiful apricot floribunda with heavy shadings of rose pink, the large H.T. shaped blooms are borne on stout stems on an upright bush of medium height and with luxuriant dark foliage.
