I just went and flagged all the photos that aren't a striped Moss, which is what 'Mme. Moreau' is supposed to be, according to the HMF description and that in 'The Old Rose Adventurer'. The photos come from several different posters, which suggests that there's a mistaken rose in circulation. My 'Mme. Moreau' comes from Petrovic and is like that in the photo taken at the Petrovic nursery. My plant has rather the air of a mossy Gallica, with Gallica plant habit and bloom style and color.

Perhaps 'Mme. Moreau' is a variable rose. Take a look at the 1878, 1894, 1901 and 1910 references for pink edged with white descriptions.
Then there are the 1936 and 1939 references which refer to a violet/lavender version which was only slightly mossed.

Makes you wonder if there haven't been two or more roses going around under this name for a century or more. It wouldn't be possible to judge whether this was variability without seeing the plant and also the buds, not just the bloom. The opulent unvariagated pink rose I see in the photos I flagged don't look like good candidates for same variety as my own modest, striped variety, which looks like the striped roses in the photos.
So, who knows. I think it's at least helpful if gardeners know that, if they get 'Mme. Moreau', they could get either one of the two varieties shown, if, as I continue to think, there are two varieties portrayed in the photos.

I think it would be helpful too Melissa and we've put a Note on the main page. I am not sure how to unflag those photos, but thank you for alerting us to the various versions.

Do you want me to unflag them; that is, if I can? The note on the main page would be sufficient notice, I suppose.
