Bred by Samuel Darragh (1932-2019) McGredy IV (1962).
Introduced in Australia by Ross Roses in before 1977 as 'Pania'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Light pink, darker edges.  Mild fragrance.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Bushy, compact.  Leathery foliage.  

Height: 30" to 3' (75 to 90cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Rain tolerant.  Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant.

Pania - 62/599. Nicknamed Holiday

Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
Pania was a beautiful sea maiden and Karitoki was her Maori lover. They lived together near the foot of the Napier breakwater. For a long time, Pania resisted the sea people who kept calling to her, but finally she could resist no longer and swam out to meet them. She never returned to the land and her lover Karitoki.
