It's amazing how much the colour of this rose can change, depending on the weather and season. It's mid spring here and the first blooms off mine this season are a very pale pink, a lot like the colour of New Zealand/Aotearoa, yet the ones we had last year at the end of spring were a pretty strong orange and pink. It's pretty much the opposite of Elle, which at the moment here is a fairly solid orange and yellow, yet at other times will be a very, very pale pink!

Is there evidence for the synonym of ‘Daybreaker’ for the 1998 HT FRYcalm? There seems too much of a conflict when one is looking at the similarly coloured 2003 floribunda FRYcentury which has the name of ‘Day Breaker’
Later edit - Fryers emailed response to my query advised on Sept 18, 2018: "I have spoken to a lady who has worked at Fryers for many years. The rose FRYcalm (britannia) was apparently named Daybreaker in the USA as the name Britannia did not mean anything to them. In the Uk it is known as Britannia."
