According to the very enthusiastic comments on the most recent photos, this rose repeat blooms. The description here says this is a once-blooming rose. I'm not sure what to believe! I have sent an email to the photographer to get this clarified.

There are now a few more references for the climber. It is still not quite clear and the remontancy seems to vary. I hope it repeats for I suspect a foundling is 'Mme. Edouard Herriot Climbing'. Mine is a year old, on its own roots, and is three feet high. Attached is a picture of the original mother plant which was planted pre 1939 to 1945.

According to Vintage Gardens website, Climbing Mme. Edouard Herriot reblooms very well. I am inclined to think that perhaps she does repeat well after all. I still hope to hear from the folks in Slovenia who submitted the lovely photos and glowing descriptions of CMEH. Good luck with your plant -- hope it prospers and repeat flowers well for you!

Hi, we folks from Slovenia got a little lost along the way, but our rose hasn't and she definitely is remontant: it usually has two or three quite nice flushes throughout the season, apart from the extremely abundant one in may. The first flush has very large (I'd say 6 inches in diameter or a little more) and fuller blooms, while later ones are a bit smaller and less full. We inspired some other rose lovers from Slovenia to plant this rose and hopefully they'll have their own input to the debate soon.
