Discovered by Victor Lens (1889 - 1969) (Belgium, 1932).
Introduced in France by Grandes Roseraies du Val de la Loire in 1933 as 'Climbing Gloria Mundi'.
Introduced in United States by Howard Rose Co. in 1943 as 'Gloria Mundi, Cl.'.
