Red American Beauty HT. (D. Morey) A lightly fragrant red which so far as we can see is outclassed by many others, and has no special virtues to recommend it. Not yet tossed out, it can have another chance, as it doesn't pay to be too hasty at times. ('Rouge Meilland' x 'San Fernando').

Red American Beauty  HT. (Morey, 1960) 'Rouge Meilland' x 'San Fernando'. A very shapely dark red variety. The blooms are flat rather than long and thin - a characteristic of the seed parent, but, unlike this same parent, it is very fragrant. A good grower.
