Lavender Girl  Florib. (Meilland 1958). The buds are reddish purple while the beautifully formed open florets are of a true lavender colour. They become a little paler but still more lavender as they age. Not a tall grower. Easily the best lavender, lilac or mauve Floribunda so far.

p21. Roy and Heather Rumsey, NSW.  New Roses.
Lavender Girl  Floribunda One of the loveliest in these shadings we have yet seen. The blooms are of medium HT. size and shape and are fully double. The buds show a rosy purple on the outer petals which contrast strikingly with the clear light green of the sepals as they commence to unfurl. When the bloom is fully open it retains a clear lavender colour which does not fade, is most beautifully formed, and lasts a long time. Some clusters, some solitary blooms, on a plant of medium size.

p54. Frank W. Pulsford, Hazlewood Nurseries Pty. Ltd. New Roses for 1961.
