Is H.V. Machin Cl. the same as Meteor of Geschwind? Or is there a strong resemblance...
Or maybe there has been a mix-up?

Certainly a mix-up. I will check and make more photos on a next visit to Loubert

Martin Weingart sent me a rose, that he considers to be Meteor, but the used budwood was from a plant called H.V. Machin.

Erich Unmuth confirms that 'H.V. Machin, Clg.' in Sangerhausen has proven to be identical with 'Meteor' from Geschwind. It is therefore probable that all in commerce are incorrect.
