Discovered by Pedro (Pere) Dot (Spain, 1943).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1951 as 'Mediterrànea'.

Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Carmine-red, yellow stripes, ages to carmine-pink .  Yellow stripes age to white.  Moderate fragrance.  up to 40 petals.  Average diameter 5".  Very large, full (26-40 petals), high-centered bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Upright.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
