Book (1961) p14. Dr. A. S. Thomas. New Roses in Victoria Alamo HT. (Meilland 1959) Big, many-petaled (said to be a hundred) rich red blooms on a bushy plant. There seem to be better red roses. No perfume.
p20. Roy and Heather Rumsey, NSW. New Roses. The Alamo HT. Deep red, with an extraordinary large number of petals. The open bloom really does resemble a zinnia, and lasts for a long time. Growth was very good.
