From 1926 series of Wills's cigarette cards (No 23) LADY ASHTOWN. (Hybrid Tea.) The flowers are large, full, with perfect pointed centre, and it is undoubtedly one of the leading roses in this section for bedding purposes and for exhibition. Being very hardy, and vigorous in habit of growth, it requires pruning to three "eyes," except when grown for exhibition purposes. Introduced in 1904.
