According to the Gravereaux file, this rose is a seedling/cross of General Jacqueminot. There is another source in the references, which points to that to. Note: The probable mistake in the synonym :-)	REPLY

Thanks true-blue. Added the parentage, but could only furrow the brow at the suggested synonym.	REPLY
