Origin:

Bred by Jean-Pierre Liabaud (France, 1875).
Introduced in Australia by Edwin Smith, Clifton Nursery in 1885 as 'Jean Liabaud'.

Class:

Hybrid Perpetual.

Bloom:

Crimson, darker shading, carmine-red highlights. Moderate fragrance. Large, full (26-40 petals), borne mostly solitary, in small clusters, cupped, scalloped bloom form. Occasional repeat later in the season.

Habit:

Dark green foliage.

Growing:

USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).

Notes:
