Gerard Williams. Final Analysis 2000-2001
Carolyn (MACcolumb) McGredy 1995; ('Courvisier' x 'Arthur Bell') x 'Dreaming' x ('Tajo' x 'Vienna Woods'); salmon pink; 41 reports on 52 bushes; 6.9 rating. A good number of reports from throughout the country. A free flowering rose, healthy with a good perfume. Bushy habit with dark green foliage. Not a show rose and marks in the wet weather. But as one reporter put it "a good doer".

Gerard Williams. Review of the Newer Roses for the 1999-2000 Season
Carolyn. (MACcolumn); McGredy 1995; ('Courvisier' x 'Arthur Bell') x 'Dreaming' x ('Tajo' x 'Vienna Woods'); salmon pink; 11 reports on 13 bushes; 1 metre; 6.8 rating. The rose won an award in The Netherlands, but hasn't taken on in New Zealand quite the same - well, not yet. A bushy habit with dark green foliage. Paeroa says: I have had heaps of diseases on most roses, but none on this one - just wish it wouldn't ball in the rain. Manawatu says it is a personal favourite, very rewarding. Not good for showing, but it has good health and is a good doer. West Otago says healthy, but balls badly. Waikato moved their bush to where it does not get so much rain; the flowering is better, the form is good and it has a nice perfume. Marlborough find it a tidy grower with lovely colour, but felt it didn't hold its petals long.

Gerard Williams. Review of the Newer Roses for the 1998-99 Season.
Carolyn. (MACcolumb) McGredy 1995; salmon pink; 7 reports on 9 roses; 1-3 years; 1 metre; 6.9 rating. Most reports on this newer rose are favourable but Gisborne and Bay of Plenty didn't have much luck with their bushes. North Otago say free flowering and healthy with a lovely perfume but they don't like the flower form. North Harbour say the blooms are pretty it has good repeat and the plant is tidy. Waikato say the health is fairly good, bloom colour is good but the bush had taken some black spot.
Bay of Plenty say the bush is better in its second year but that the blooms can ball in the wet weather. Hut Valley say the bush is healthy with average growth and flowers. A good rose in the garden with a bushy habit and dark green foliage. Pleasantly fragrant.

Nola Simpson. Review of Newer Roses for 1997-98 Season.
Carolyn. (MACcolumb); McGredy 1995; salmon pink; 9 reports on 11 plants; 1-2 years; 1.0 metre; 6.7 rating. The ratings have stayed about the same for the second year running and most reports are not over enthusiastic. Both Bay of Plenty and West Otago indicate balling in the rain. Plants produce a lot of blooms, in fact Golden Bay suggests it is more like a floribunda. Health is generally good, new plants are slow to get going initially. Good rose in the garden, bushy habit with dark green healthy foliage. Pleasantly fragrant.

Nola Simpson. Review of Newer Roses for 1996-97 Season.
Carolyn (MACcolumb); McGredy 1995; salmon pink; 7 reports on 7 plants; I year; 1.0 metre; 6.8 rating. The first reports on this new McGredy rose from a few areas and most like the flowers and the colour, but some have had problems with their plants. Dieback reported from Marlborough and bad mildew reported from Kaitaia. A North Otago grower had poor small bush and Otago disappointed with the first crop of flowers. The lovely perfume is mentioned by several. We will await next year's reports when the plants have settled in.
