Bred by Hendrikus A. Verschuren Sr. (1844-1918) (Netherlands, 1918).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1922 as 'Gloire de Hollande'.

Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Dark red.  Moderate fragrance.  Large, full (26-40 petals) bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Long buds.  
Habit:
Upright, well-branched.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Vigorous.
