Dark red Hybrid Tea. Registration name: Star of Queensland
Bloom:
Crimson and purple, reverse cardinal red. Colour, rich velvety crimson, shaded with maroon. Semi-double (9-16 petals) bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
'Star of Queensland' had the form of its pollen parent, 'Earl of Dufferin' and was similar to Etoile de France, but less full. Its habit was said to be similar to K. of K. and Red Letter Day.
