Generosa (the 'Mansuino Rose') a small crimson flower... It was not a miniature as we use the word today, but it was a beautiful rose in miniature and came to be labelled the Hybrid Tea miniature... the progenitor of a strain of cutflower cultivars grown mostly in Italy from the end of the 1960s to the present...

In acelaşi timp au fost obţinute de către selecţionerul italian Mansuino din Sanremo citeva soiuri noi cu flori media şi mici dintre care amintim: Torino, Generosa, Letizia, Biancaneve, Gardenia, Frine, Zecchino d'oro, Alba di primavera, care ajung să producă 30 — 40 flori pe o singură plantă.
