'TINstar' rose Reviews & Comments

When I first saw this rose in bloom, I could not ignore the brightly colored flowers. I thought that the healthy plant looked wonderful, with loads of long stemmed flowers. The 2 gallon pots was filled by the plant and covered in flowers.
Then, Mom cut back the plant to make new stock, before she released this new mini to the public. That was the end of the plant. It never recovered from that first good cutback. The new plant grew well, but they too pouted or died if more more than a few flowers were removed or the stem were cut too short.
I also noticed that the new plants did get powdery mildew during their first year in the nursery; and eventually, this rose was dropped from the regular stock at Tiny Petals.
