Origin:
Bred by Alexander W. Montgomery Jr. (United States, before 1920).
Introduced in France by Grandes Roseraies du Val de la Loire in 1920 as 'Pilgrim'.
Introduced in United States by Montgomery Rose Co. in 1920 as 'Pilgrim'.
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1922 as 'Pilgrim'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Pink, silver(y) shading, light pink reverse.  Moderate fragrance.  Large, double (17-25 petals), borne mostly solitary, high-centered, scalloped bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Long buds.  
Habit:
Bushy, upright.  
Growing:
USDA zone 7b and warmer.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.  Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) .
