I grow this rose and I wonder if it is really Geschwind's Orden? My rose looks the same as others pictured here with the center being much darker than the outer petals. Even the buds look like Geschwind's Orden as well as the foliage.

i believe that the rose we have and is shown in the photos are so different as to be a seperate rose by accident or more likely by mutatation over time. caused by continuous grafting.

The rose in commerce in the USA now does not match the historic description of light crimson borne in trusses of 10 to 20.
