I have grown quite fond of this rose. Here at Lista in the best parts of Norway she has a very vigorous growth and it has become quite obvious that she wants to be a climber instead of a shrub, and she has consequently been trained as such. What can you do? These ladies have to be humoured. The plant has been completely disease free so far in my garden The double bright red flowers may be regarded ordinary by some, but they are indeed beautiful up close. A little better repeatflowering is left to be desired. The time inbetween flushes is too long. The second flush does not appear till late in the autumn. It is still a favourite though. October 18th 2009: The repeatflowering seems to be better and a bit earlier too this year than it was last year. Besides the second flush comes at a time when most roses in my garden have shown their best. A colourful show off late in the season ,provided there is no early frost. Yes this is a favourite.

This is reputed to be one of the most disease free roses -- no blackspot, no mildew.
