Lady (Adeline) Mann was the wife of Sir Frederick Mann, a distinguished Australian lawyer who was Chief Justice of Victoria (1935-44 and Lieutenant-Governor (1936-45).
Early references say this rose was bred from 'Lorraine Lee'. Some modern references - 1990, and 2004 - are calling it a sport of 'Lorraine Lee'.
The rose in commerce in Australia was found at Alister Clark's property Glenara and presumed to be 'Lady Mann'. See also the Australian foundling "Mrs. Val Nash" (syn "Rose Hedge Cottage Pink")
