Book (1996) Page(s) 181. [From Epilogue by Dr. Martina Nath-Esser] ....Hermann Schwertner from the nursery Wohlt tells how Alma engaged herself for a specific rose against the judgement of the breeder Kordes, when she was on one of her routine visits in Pinneberg in 1956 and looked at the so called Number-Roses, cultivars which are not yet on the market....Among the already discarded new varieties, Alma de l'Aigle discovered a rose with double, porcelain-pink, nodding blooms, making it possible to look inside the petals, with almond-green foliage and a fine, fresh fragrance. A rose to love, as Mrs de l'Aigle said. She only relented, when Kordes agreed to have it grafted by the nursery Wohlt. In 1958, she brought the rose into commerce under the name 'Isabella'. After her death, it was sold as 'Andenken an Alma de l'Aigle'.
