Saonara is the name of the village near Padova where F.lli Sgaravatti, the firm that introduced the rose, had their nursery since 1820.

Most of the roses bred by Borgatti are lost and there are not photos of the few left, with one exception (Ninfea). Next year I will try to take some photos of the Borgatti's roses present at Roseto Botanico "Carla Fineschi" in Cavriglia. Thank you for the note.
