Novelty Roses 1960.  David Gold. (HT. H. Robinson 1957)  Large blooms of cherry cerise overshot with salmon, orange and yellow and opening to full exhibition size. The growth is vigorous and upright and an added attraction is the delightful fragrance. 8/6 each.

David Gold HT. (Robinson 1957) Bred from 'Shot Silk' and 'Mme. A. Meilland'. The colour is paler than that of 'Shot Silk'. The form, though good, is a little flat as it is in both parents, and it does not hold well. It needs a few more petals. Free flowering, excellent foliage and growth and strong perfume, but, in all, this is a disappointing rose.
