Bred by François-Henri Gossart (Belgium, before 1826).

Damask, Portland.

Light purple to crimson. .  Moderate fragrance.  Average diameter 2".  Medium to large, very double bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Compact, upright.  Dense foliage.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).

Notes:
'La mienne' is said to be similar to 'Rose du Roi', and also to 'Flon' and 'Gloire des Perpétuelles'.
