Susan Irvine. Connie Ryan, secretary of the Rose Society of Western Australia for over 20 years, raised ‘In the Pink’ from a chance seedling found in a pot of ‘Baby Faurax’. Its double blooms are a lovely mid-pink, with a light musk fragrance.

‘In the Pink’ – 1888. ‘Baby Faurax’ cross. Cluster Flowered Bush rose. Double, fragrant, mid pink flowers of medium size in clusters, fully recurrent. Glossy, light green foliage, small leaflets. Red hooked prickles. Flower: 35 petals, 65mm, 4 to 5. Bush 0.9m x 0.8m.

‘In the Pink’. Modern, cluster-flowered/floribunda. Medium pink, repeat flowering. The flowers on this Cluster-flowered Rose are fully double with around 58-60 petals and are usually found in groups of 4 or more. The color is a mid pink and there is some slight musk fragrance. It is a medium-growing plant with a bushy habit and very hooked prickles, which can sometimes help in its identification. The leaves are glossy green and disease resistance is fair. Zones 4-9.
