Mini Love by Christopher Warner is Chewcreepy. I notice that it's called Centre Stage on HMF. I am just proofreading an article by a Swedish rose nursery owner who is a friend of Warner and had bud wood of this rose directly from him.

Thank you Makida. We've merged the two listings.

I think you can safely change the default hardiness to zone 5. The nursery owner I mentioned has trialed Chewcreepy in an even colder zone in the north of Sweden with success but set zone 5 to be on the safe side.

I have learnt that "CHEWcreepy", "Center Stage" and "Mini Love" are different names of the same rose by Chris Warner.
Maybe that should be in the descriptions at HMF.

Best regards from Mariehem

If you look in the "Synonyms" section you'll see the different names a plant is known by.

We have 'Mini Love' listed as a separate rose but it certainly looks like we should combine them. Do you have a reference listing them as the same rose so we can see which date bred to use ? Thanks.

Sent a mail with the question to The Amateur Rose Breeders Association (UK) where Chris Warner is a member but I haven´t got an answer yet.

Now I´we got an answer to my query about the Centre Stage/ CHEW creepy/ Mini-Love Rose
from David E Wilce, at The Amateur Rose Breeders Association i UK.

Here is parts of his answer from Chris Warner.
"Centre Stage is also sold as Mini - Love in Holland. A Swedish agent would have imported the rose and it wrongly had the two names on the label. So the rose has two names dependent in which country it is sold in.

Centre Stage won the RNRS PIT award in 1998 and was introduced in the UK in 1999."

So I think the right year to put in HMF then will be 1999./ Mariehem

'Centre Stage' is a good groundcover rose in my garden in Norway. (SW of Oslo). I grow it on its own root. It is easy to propagate and is almost disease free. Hardy and prolific, it is well suited for cold climate. (Hardly freezes back.)
I am astonished that this rose is not used more. Flowers look like Rosa Canina (smaller) and it flowers continously in the season.
