I would dispute the 'strong fragrance' and 'disease resistant' particulars in the listing. The fragrance is hard to detect unless the bloom is being warmed by direct sun. While it is black spot resistant, it's no better against mildew than most reds. By comparison to Chrysler Imperial (another red of the same era) it's slightly more resistant.
The bloom form of this rose is superb. It holds well in the vase and the flowers don't 'crimson' with age. Despite American breeding it seems to be lost to cultivation in the US.
