‘Bob Woolley’ = Hybride de Thé… quelques 60 pétales à revers jaune citron… rose pêche de l’avers… feuillage vert mat… refleurit vaillamment de juin aux gelées, mais sans prodigalité excessive, car former des fleurs aussi pleines est un labeur épuisant. Bien que l’ardent rosiériste auquel il est dédié soit du nord de l’Angleterre, il préfère quant à lui les climats plus cléments et surtout moins pluvieux. Sanday, UK 1970. Gavotte x ‘Spek’s Yellow.

Bob Woolley Hybrid Tea. Sanday (UK) 1970. Parentage: 'Gavotte' x 'Spek's Yellow'. Description... As an exhibition rose this has been popular for many years... peach-pink on the inner surfaces, the reverse being lemon yellow... The rose bears the name of a keen rosarian from the north of England...

Bob Woolley HT. (Sanday, 1971). 'Gavotte' x 'Spek's Yellow'. Beautiful conventionally formed blooms (about 50 petals) which are light pink on the inner face and cream on the reverse. The outer petals reflex sharply as do those of 'Gavotte', possibly a little too reflexed. Said to have been the best rose displayed at the Chelsea Flower Show, 1977. Very floriferous. Vigorous. Plants are wide rather than tall.

Bob Woolley, HT. (Sanday, 1971). 'Gavotte' x 'Spek's Yellow'. Big well-formed blooms, the petals of which are light pink on the inside and cream on the outside - a colour combination resembling that of 'Anne Letts'.

Bob Woolley, HT. (Sanday, 1971). ('Gavotte' x 'Spek's Yellow'). The outer petals of this big specimen bloom type rose are cream. Its inner petals are pale pink. Sanday is using 'Gavotte' for a great many crossings and he is getting a fine lot of big shapely roses.
