'Sultane Favorite' rose Reviews & Comments

Modern Roses (13) equates Petite Renoncule Violette with Félicie, and leaves out "Sultane Favorite" altogether. It also does not have "Petite Renoncule". I received a cutting of a "Sultane Favorite" from Gregg Lowery, if it takes root I will try to post more pics in the future.

There is also a gallica 'Sultan favorite', which is the rose which Modern Roses is referring to. It is unclear why there is a gallica and a Portland of the same name in old publications. Time (and research) will sort this out, we hope.

You know what, I just checked again and MR13 does have the Sultane Favorite but it was not in "boldface" type so I missed it! It refers it to its "accepted" name, Felicie and says it is a HGal, I might need better glasses!
