'Most Unusual Day' rose Reviews & Comments

Good morning folks. I don't know if this problem is limited to my usage or what, but when I upload photos this morning, the dialog window says there was a "site error", and the image may or may not be available. If you return to the photos page (see: http://www.helpmefind.com/rose/l.php?l=2.25153.1&tab=36 ) you can see a listing for the photo, but no thumbnail. Clicking through shows me the full sized image, though. This is something you may want to look into.
Regards, Paul

This rose is a "problem child" in many ways. It tends to bloom at the expense of making any real growth, so it often remains under 18" tall. It doesn't produce much in the way ofl foliage either, and so is rarely a particularly attractive bush. Blooms can often turn up distorted or not opening properly as well. A curiosity, but of little value as a garden shrub.

I am fascinated by this rose. The form and color are so unusual--the deep waxiness of the cupped petals and the hand-painted aspect that juxtaposes deep coral pink, russet, and white, offset by vivid yellow stamens. I just obtained this plant from The Uncommon Rose, and it is new to my garden, but I am watching it closely for signs of those fantasmagorical blooms!
