Full, medium-sized blooms produced on long, rigid stems. Growth good free and clean, with only an occasional thorn. Foliage excellent and mildew resistant. G. D. A Queensland-raised variety with quite a lot of merit. The colour is exceptionally dark during the cooler months, and though lighter in the summer, it keeps very pure. The buds frequently come flat-nosed, which, however, develop into surprisingly well-shaped blooms. Buds cut early open very dark indoors. Having pithy wood, all cutting should be done with a sharp knife.
