Book (1953) p128. Dr. A. S. Thomas. New Roses. Elaine is somewhat like Molly Bligh in colouring - a soft, two-toned pink rose. The large, pointed flowers are beautifully shaped and are carried erect on long, thin stems.
p138. Miss Pat Mason, Auckland N.Z. Elaine, a deep rose pink with large, full blooms of exhibition quality. Growth appeared to be fairly good.
