Notes:
Vicomte Antoine-Marguerite Clerc (1774-1846) was a general in the Revolutionary and Royal armies of France. Despite the attribution by Jules Gravereaux to Laffay 1845, there is no evidence that this rose existed prior to 1859. 'Général Clerc' at Sangerhausen seems to be mislabeled (see References)
