Origin:
Bred by Reimer Kordes (1922-1997) (Germany, 1959).
Introduced in Germany by W. Kordes' Söhne (Retail) in 1965 as 'Gärtnerfreude'.
Introduced in France by Vilmorin-Andrieux in 1966 as 'Red River'.
Class:
Hybrid Polyantha.  
Bloom:
Red.  None / no fragrance.  up to 24 petals.  Average diameter 2.25".  Medium, double (17-25 petals), in small clusters bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Upright.  Large, semi-glossy, dark green foliage.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Can be used for container rose.

Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
Similar to the female parent.
