Bred by Jules Auguste Margottin fils (France, 1878).
Introduced in Australia by George Brunning - St. Kilda Nurseries in 1882 as 'Préfet Limbourg'.
Class:
Hybrid Perpetual.  
Bloom:
Dark red, violet shading.  Mild fragrance.  Large, double (17-25 petals), borne mostly solitary, in small clusters bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Bushy.  

Height: up to 39" (up to 100cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Vigorous.
