'El Dorado' rose Reviews & Comments

Left unpruned, this a a very good choice for a cottage, and seems to stay lusher and perform better in its new, wilder home then it did as a typical rose garden specimen. I posted a picture of it after a year in a wilder spot.

I think the pics might be 'Eldorado' by Christensen, based on the depth and brightness of the gold, as well as the 'Sunspite'-like foliage.

Agreed. 'El Dorado' 1972 by Armstrong was/is very similar to 'Sutter's Gold" as the first 2 pictures show.

I agree. I grew the Christensen version here for awhile.

I think we have two roses then, and one is missing (or Im blind, which is possible).

Sorry Michael, was agreeing with you that the pictures look like the Floribunda, 'Eldorado'.

Is there an agreement that all photos except Beth's are Christensen's 'Eldorado'?

Looks that way to me.

Yep. The 'Sunsprite' tone of gold is a dead giveaway imo.

Agree re: the pics. Check out 'Eldorado' there are pics there that look just like what Kit posted.
