From George C. Thomas' "Roses for All American Climates", New York 1924 p.77 "HORTULANUS FIET (not to be confounded with Leenders' new rose, Hortulanus Albert Fiet). Verschuren, 1919. (Cissie Easlea x Golden Star.) Golden yellow. Recommended in the 1922 English Annual by Mr. Taylor, of Edinburgh, who cites it as "a grand grower and mildew-proof;" recommended by Hazlewood, of New South wales. Not tested. For experiment try in: Cen. Pac. N.-W. Pac. S.-W. I.S. S.-E."
