'Always' rose Description

ARS:
Dark red Hybrid Tea. Registration name: Always (hybrid tea, Leon 1957)
Bloom:
Dark red. Flowers cardinal red. Moderate, centifolia, old rose fragrance. 24 to 32 petals. Average diameter 6". Very large, very double, borne mostly solitary, in small clusters, high-centered to cupped bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season. Long, pointed buds.
Habit:
Bushy, upright. Leathery foliage. 3 to 7 leaflets.
Growing:
USDA zone 7b and warmer. Can be used for cut flower or garden. Vigorous. Protect tender new spring growth from hard freezes that may cause canker, die-back and death of the plant. . Remove spent blooms to encourage re-bloom. Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that. Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood..
