Magazine (2000) Page(s) 77. Vol 94, part 3. Michael O'Loughlin, at Gifu, Japan Our alliance of Friendship with this wondrous Japanese Rose Garden, which I was priviliged to sign in September 1998, has already instigated a number of positive intiatives. Last autumn we exchanged rose trees and the Japanese varieties are now growing well in the special bed planted in he Gardens of the Rose at St. Albans. One of the varieties is the CF Ginrei and I was pleased to see it doing so well at Gifu this year. It is really a lovely rose with creamy-white blooms and lush, dark green foliage.
